| The Johnson County Museum's holdings include documents, maps,
photographs and manuscripts related to the history of Johnson County,
Kansas from 1820s to present.
The Museum currently does not have any on-site research facilities. Requests for information may be made by telephone, email or in writing to: Assistant Curator Every effort will be made to facilitate your research needs. If an on-site visit is necessary, an appointment may be arranged by contacting the Assistant Curator. Much of the Museum's photographic collection is accessible online at www.JoCoHistory.org. The Museum staff encourages you to browse the collection. If you would like to order high resolution digital files of any images, please contact the Museum's assistant curator. Museum Holdings: The Museum's holdings include but are not limited to: the first published history of Johnson County (1915) by Ed Blair, local and metropolitan area newspaper clippings files, biographical files, family and community histories and oral history interviews. .In addition, the Museum has recently completed an initial historic preservation survey of pre-1950 structures in the county.
