Adding to the Collection

The Johnson County Museum collection includes some 13,000 objects and 24,000 photographs. The museum collects items that have a direct connection to Johnson County history--objects that were manufactured or used in the county, that have a direct connection with historical events that occurred here, or which belonged to Johnson County residents. Besides objects and photographs, the museum accepts written or printed materials, including diaries, letters, manuscripts, pamphlets and programs.

Corporate Support

The Friends of Johnson County Museum solicit funds from members of the business community each year to support the educational programming at the three museum sites. This annual fundraising drive, undertaken by the Board of Trustees, is critical to our ability to offer low-cost programming opportunities to schoolchildren. To learn more about how your company can contribute, contact the Museum Director, Mindi Love at jcmuseum@jocogov.org or at 913-715-2550.
