ResearchThe Johnson County Museum's holdings include documents, maps, photographs and manuscripts related to the history of Johnson County, Kansas from 1820s to present. The Museum also maintains extensive clippings files and a reference library of local, state and metropolitan publications. Researchers are encouraged to visit the Research Room (by appointment: Tuesday - Friday 10:00 - 4:00) where staff can assist you in your search. |
Our MissionThe Johnson County Museum is committed to expanding the public's sense of community through an understanding of the county's history and its place in American society. To achieve this purpose, the Museum collects and preserves artifacts and information that document the county's heritage, and produces interpretive exhibits, educational programs and publications.
